The centre is located near a route leading to a border crossing with Slovakia for pedestrians and cyclists. Summer trips to the border village of Leonica situated in the valley of the Leonicki Stream or along the picturesque Dunajec River gorge to the Red Monastery - 14th century seat of Cartesian monks - are likely to leave you with unforgettable impressions.

We would also like to recommend a dozen or so other routes of varying difficulty leading to Kroocienko and Jaworki with the picturesque Homole Ravine and the Bia3a Woda Valley. A trip to the Sokolica and Trzy Korony Peaks will ensure beautiful views of the entire Pieniny Mountains, and the closeness of the Czorsztyn Reservoir will make the cruise on a pleasure boat and a visit to the castles in Niedzica and Czorsztyn possible.

Szczawnica borders Spisz - a multicultural area of the borderland whose history has been shaped by Polish, Slovak and Hungarian influences. Szczawnica is an ideal starting point for all-day trips to many interesting places in the region.
